Hey Guys,
Been a while since my last post. Apologies for the wait, but the list of accomplishments has been growing over the past couple of months.
Lots of you call me the curve breaker(not academically), the pattern smasher, and the best has to be "The guy that always seems to hit that reset button inside".
What's the secret? It is smaller than you think...
Your mind is what makes you act. You think, act and then feel... whether you are not in tune enough with yourself or not, that is the order. Ralph Waldo Emerson says it like this "The ancestor to every action is a thought". What you think about determines how you feel...
You never feel your way into acting. We are not designed to be so primal. We have the ability to think, then act...
That is the key. If you ever wanted to quote me directly, this would be the one that has resonated with the most people...
"You don't feel your way into acting, you act your way into feeling." - JWCIV
Think about it. You do not start feeling different about your current state until you actually do some action to change it.
Easiest way to change what you think about? Listen to yourself. The very words that you utter to yourself are the words that initiate your thoughts. therefore words = thoughts= action=feeling. Quantify it like this. If the inputs in this chain are of a certain association you will feel that way at the end of the process.
So, words that carry a joyous association will yield joyous feelings...Words that have a stressful association in your mind will yield a stressful feeling.
Listen to the phrases that you tell yourself and realize that you can command the way that you feel at will.
Instead of saying that you have "Had it up to here" say it this way: "I am getting close to reaching my maximum".
This slight difference will literally make you feel different about the situation.
works in responses also. When you respond to someone and you utter something like " That is ridiculous" think about the way that you feel about what was told to you.
Find words that carry different associations with them.
Watch the phrases that you tell people.
"What if you meant to say, "what's troubling you", and instead you said: "what's wrong with you?"" - Jim Rohn
Simple as that...Grab a dictionary and start finding the words that will keep you strong, solid, refreshed, amazed, and grateful.
You are in for a treat. One of my heroes is Will Smith. If there was ever someone that could be said to be a jack of all trades, it would be him...
Listen to his words...Feel the message...Make the day yours!
Let me know what you think.
Cheers,
JC

How do you get to where you want to be?
Often times we find ourselves thinking about how things could be. As humans, we are the only creatures that can look into the future for new emotions. Lots of people have been asking me why I focus so much on emotion, and not so much on the particulars of the processes they ask me about. The simple answer is that we want to learn these processes so we can ultimately feel a certain way about our lives. Emotion is the spice of life. So how do we change our emotional state? How do we make ourselves feel that we have arrived at our destination?
There are so many different systems, techniques, and therapies to give us the power to change, that a "paradox of choice" is created, and we do not know which is the best system, or the fastest, or even the most effective way to change.
The REAL way to get there...KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE NOW!
If you can understand the state that you are in fully right now, then you can know what you would like to be different. This is the starting point of your journey, and you need to fully understand everything. What do you like about where you are now? Where would you change? What would you like better?
Those that experience ultimate, crippling, what seems to be their end, pain are totally emersed in it. There is no other thing that they focus on. Speaking from personal experience, there is always some positive in everything. You must remember that "Life holds a potential meaning under any conditions, even the most miserable ones." - Viktor Frankl
Once you fully understand where you are, then you can start to look at where you want to go. Get grounded, stop feeling lost or useless, and then aim...
Little secret here. We often associate emotional states as objects that can be obtained. This is the furthest from the truth. Emotional states are achieved when multiple facets of our physiology, psychology and emotional intelligence are operating in a syngergistic state.
The state that we aim to achieve is usually experienced in an "ah ha" moment. When things all of a sudden click. It is not when you cross the finish line, not when you finally buy the car, but the synergy between your physiology, psychology, and emotional intelligence.
It is better said once again by Mr. Frankl; "Don't aim at success - the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side-effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater that oneself or as the by product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself."
still confused? Let me put it to you this way. Really examine the current place that you are in. To get to the place that you want to be, Analyse the 3 parts described above. Think about what it will feel like, and what it takes to get there. Look at small things. For example, want to feel more wealthy? This does not mean that you go and spend more money. Take a few hundred dollar bills and carry them in your wallet/money clip. DO NOT SPEND THE MONEY....JUST KNOW THAT IT IS THERE.You will have better physiology because you literally have a couple hundred dollars in your pocket, I always perk up when I have more money in my possession. You will have a different psychology, instead of thinking what you can't do, you start to think of all the things you could spend it on, and your emotional intelligence will change because you will now understand how different it feels when you make changes to the other two.
Try it out with other areas of your life. Master the now, and the future is only a few simple changes in rituals away. Follow the steps, and watch your "ah Ha" moments increase when you experience your own arrival at the place that you wanted to be...
Comment on some of the changes that you have experienced below please. I am eager to see the progress.
Cheers,

The 4 Seasons
Thank you for reading. Looks like the the followers list is growing, hopefully it grows a little more. As long as this blog continues to help people, I will continue to write.
Recently, a cold from from Alaska hit good old Reno. This reminded me of how fast the seasons can change. So, how is this going to help you? Understand the Seasons.
The Reason for the four seasons is not just to keep the scenery different. The seasons change so you have constant reminders that you need to get things done. The seasons change to take away that familiarity that you build comfort with. If it was always sunny, then you would find yourself taking it for granted. Furthermore, you would find yourself expecting sunny weather everyday. This deters from the goal of developing an attitude of Gratitude.
Could you see yourself being grateful for the sunny days, if you weren't forced to live in a couple of cloudy days?
Would you be thankful for the rainy days, if you weren't stuck in a scorching hot day outside?
My point is this. The Seasons change for one reason. To measure your progress!
Two ways that you can interpret something. To your benefit or to your disadvantage. Your power of perception will be the deciding factor in how these changed affect you. Choose how you want to feel and then be in awe of the changes.
you can feel the rain coming sometimes. The air seems to be heavier and thicker, there is moisture in the air, and you can literally feel the ions in the air moving around.
Listen to this little snippet from the late Jim Rohn:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6kyA0gyFos&feature=related
In closing, Be grateful for the changes that happen in your life. Feel excited when the seasons change. Do not focus on the times that you had, but the times that you are going to have. The only animal on this earth that can look to the future, and create a compelling future, is the homo sapien. Birds, alligators, fish, do not plan out their life to see what they can be. They are so focused on being reactive to their situation. Separate yourself from the animals. Be grateful for rain when you are being rained on. Breathe in the thicker air when you have a chance to. Tech yourself how to be happy when everyone else is complaining...and let your smile light up the dark life of someone else.
Here's to you,

A Beautiful End in Sight.
Hello There,
It has been almost a month since I posted. Thank you for all of the texts and calls about the next post. Glad to hear that people are really getting value from this. My apologies for the delay, I have been working on my book...Look for it on amazon soon.
The title says it all. a beautiful end. The past month has been a roller coaster for me. Settling in the new job, purchasing a new car, and paying off bad debt would take a toll on anyone. Yet, I have learned a lot through that. This might not be the case with you, but with me, it seems that I have a delayed accomplishment when I see the end coming.
We are conditioned to think that the past will equal the future. That what we know will always be true. We mix principles with cliche's and make life decisions based on little quality information that we might have.
what I am getting at is this. When you have your goal list, or your task window in your email, you put off the easy things, or the things that are so close to completion sometimes. knowing that you have the ability, resources, and the drive to accomplish whatever task it was. Yet, we find ourselves delayed in completing that task. WHY?
What are you going to do afterward. Ever gone for a long run, to the point where you felt like you couldn't run anymore, and told yourself that if you got to that rock, post, what have you...that you would rest and take a break?
Same thing here. I hope that you maintain a list of what it is that you want and are walking towards. Learn to become a meaningful specific as Zig Ziglar says...
Get it done. The end is never the end, only a beautiful marker on your path. The beautiful thing is....There is no end. You have little control over when you leave this earth...why spend time waiting and trying to predict how things are going to be. Let life touch you. Good and bad.. It is ALWAYS worth it. breakups, failure, accidents, physical harm, are all necessary parts in making you who you are going to be. FAll IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF AND THE PROCESS OF YOUR OWN SELF DEVELOPMENT. The beautiful thing really is that even you don'y know everything that you are capable of.
You could stumble upon the next great business idea, or the next home remedy for something, or a better way of managing things, or a better way of communicating with people. There is greatness, and excitement inside of you that is there for a reason. Learn to love it.
Until next time...

A Burning Desire
Achievement is measured in many ways. How do you measure yours? Furthermore, what is the source of your achievement? take 3 people that have been remembered for different things.
Napolean Hill, Tony Robbins, and Mother Theresa:
Three different goals, three different missions, and three different outcomes. Yet, there is one thing that they all share. There was a burning desire within them to accomplish their mission.
Burning Desire?
Wayne dyers explains it this way: "when you become truly inspired, all you have to do is manage the coincidences that happen in your life."
So become inspired about something. Too often, do we entertain the thought of something, but never associate emotion to it.
The contrarian code states that "You cannot feel your way into action, you have to act your way into feeling."
Napolean Hill was told that his child was completely Deaf, and that he needed to be placed in a special school and would never live a normal life. Mr. Hill did not accept this, and had a burning desire to give his child the most "normal" life that he could. Everyday, he worked with his son. Stamping on the floor furiously so that his son could sense vibration. He taught him how to read lips, and worked with different communication methods. Long story short, turns out the doctors were incorrect, and the hearing was not totally gone. With a simple hearing aid, Mr. Hill's son could hear! now, if Hill would have accepted the Dr. opinion, and done nothing about it, his son would not live the normal life that he came to live.
Tony Robbins came from a unique situation as well. Three fathers, and time spent as a janitor, gave him a burning desire to radically change his life. He went to work for a man named Jim Rohn, and modeled himself after his success. Within one year, Tony went from making a little over 33,000 dollars to over 1 million dollars. He found a way to help people maintain a peak state. To help others find their Burning desire within, so they could accomplish what they wanted to accomplish.
Mother Theresa is listed as one of the most influential people to ever walk the planet. She promoted the feeling of belonging through God and his teachings. her work in the streets of India may never be matched. her burning desire was one that she passed on very casually. In a radio interview, she was asked how the DJ could help her. After refusing all of his monetary suggestions she told him . " Go out there to a stranger that thinks he is alone, and convince him that he is not."
What a profound notion. Not worried about money, fame, status, or anything else, but to have a burning desire to change the world one person at a time.
Why the examples?
What is it that you once felt passionately about?
What was it that you thought should be changed?
Did you do something about it?
Did you let it go?
Find that reason, talent, passion inside of yourself and let it start to burn.
let it bring you up to new levels. Stop worrying about the how's and the what if's. Find your Burning Desire and let it consume you.
Listen to Les Brown explain it to you.... Enjoy

Up in Smoke

the metaphysics would have had a field day with me yesterday. Everyone in the office did. I was bombarded with emails and one liners about how I need to get a "non-smoking" car......
You see, I was driving a 96 Acura TL, great grandma car. It was awesome. Great on gas, and really reliable. However, it started to idle in a really weird way. You could imagine my surprise when I parked next to my mechanic, to see smoke coming out from under the hood. My mechanic came out immediately, and raised the hood to find flames coming out from under the hood!!!!
My car was literally on fire, and I was flabbergasted....
Yet for some reason, with all of my recent changes, I found myself happy...
Here is a great chance to show you one of the lessons that I have learned in my recent changes...
Contrarians choose what they focus on. There are always different ways to look at things. I could have focused on my loss, and I could have focused on what was next. These decisions on what to focus on leads to what Tony Robbins call "the Decisions that shape your Destiny"
You see, things that are bad and good will always happen to us. Whether we like it or not, time will pass us by, our bodies continually change, and things are rarely the same. Yet, we can choose to look at these changes as losses or as opportunities for something new.
Choose the later. Be contrarian. Understand that the only way that you can derive inner strength from change is by focusing on the opportunity. Find the positive in everything. Be Thankful and grateful for the changes, and be EXCITED and PASSIONATE about the things that are about to happen.
Yeah my car caught on fire....have a sweet rental car, and looking at new vehicles...Excited to see what I can find!
To your future,
JC

Enjoy the Spring...
Saturday has come, and for the first time in a while, the weather is as if God himself wanted everyone that planned on staying at home to go outside and enjoy the splendor of the world he had created.
So many spirits are lifted when the weather is good. But why is the weather sometimes good and sometimes bad?
Any economics major, or lay person will know that scarcity creates value. The less of something that there is a demand for, will create value in something. Why would you see value in the summer, if it was summer all of the time?
People really only understand value when you understand that every good thing comes to an end. Kind of dark, but the way that you interpret it, can make for a very powerful day.
The seasons change very fast, like Jim Rohn says: "You cannot change the seasons, but you can change yourself." Below is a video link from the legend himself, Mr. Jim Rohn.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haaAzr6t2VQ
So if you know that the seasons are always changing, and that you may find yourself wearing shorts, when you should be wearing pants....you must make a commitment to lead an different type of life.
The Contrarian code shows that contrarians are those that are able to think about what their summer will be like when it is winter outside. They protect their attitudes by understanding the seasons. When everyone is shopping for coats in the winter, contrarians already are wearing their coats that the purchased for a lesser price last summer.
How many people are in your life asking what they wanted to do, and how hard things were, and waiting for something to happen, so that they can start on what they really want to do?
I'm telling you, to not wait for something to come along...Which came first, the chicken or the egg? How many people have you heard engage in this useless conversation?
People ask me that question, and my reply is this: " All I know is that they are both delicious , and I am happy to eat them both when I am craving them."
You don't always have to know everything, or have all of your ducks in a row, or have everything organized, or have read all of the books, or whatever other excuse that we think that we need.
What you have to do is Live. Live with a standard of life that few dare to live. Be bold, Go out there, understand that things will not always be the same. That things will fall apart. Right when you feel that you have reached your limits, something comes along and totally opens your mindset. But do you believe that your challenges are blessings? Do you believe that your obstacles force you to grow? So embrace them with open arms.... Feel BLESSED that you have been challenged the way that you have been challenged. Your life is now more that others have lived.
The Seasons will always change. You cannot change them. Embrace it, focus on how o maximize your experiences in each season. Take advantage of the change rather than seeing it as a loss, and enjoy your new attitude and your life...and wonder what it feels like to discover things in yourself that you never knew existed.
To your success,
JC

What is this Doing to me?
"follow the 15!" was the theme of my conference call yesterday with my coach Linda Mclean. When you think about it, it makes sense. With all of the technology that we have, we should not be distracted by the new game on our iPod/iPad, or anything else that "entertains us" but focus on what we can do for the next 15 minutes that will get us closer to where we want to be.
"Inch by inch is a sinch, Yard by Yard is hard." Such a little phrase with such a big meaning. What it is that is distracting you, or making you loose focus on your goal, mission, or purpose?
Are there things that you can substitute instead of the behaviors that you are currently engaging in?
Look at everything, and see if there are any little changes that need to be made. The bottom line is this, you must do the things that need to be done to accomplish your goals. 'Every day, you must stand guard at the door of your mind" - Jim Rohn. Take a look at EVERYTHING that is affecting you. From the foods that you eat, to the relationships that you are in.
Les Brown states that, "There are two types of relationships; nourishing relationships, and Toxic relationships. You've got to understand that you can run faster with 10 people that want to run with you, rather than 1 hanging on your neck!"
Do you believe that you are in relationships like this?
Do you believe that you have friendships like this?
Do you believe that it will change if you don't do anything about it?
Take a look, and really understand that you have to "Follow the 15", "Stand Guard at the door of your mind" and pay yourself first by taking the time to examine what you are distracting yourself with.

April Fools?
Hello There,
Just started my new job today. So happy to have this change in my life. Yet, there are Those people that have continually complained, and whined about the way that things are. Including myself three months ago.
Typically, we all find ourselves in areas where we look for external circumstances to help us change. Reflecting on my recent past I can see how my attitude was not one of gratitude, but one of scarcity and fear. I was expecting someone or something to come along and change my life.
It's like my life coach Linda McClean says: "If you don't stand up for something, then you will fall for something else."
It took me getting fired from a good job to realize that I am the master of my own destiny. That the reason why something doesn't happen in my life is not becuase of external factors. But that I did not want it bad enough. Humans alwys fulfill their needs, but are eager to give up on the things that they want.
When I was 16, I was facing a risk of becoming diabetic because of my obesity. Being 5'11" tall and 317lbs did not feel, or look good at all. I realized that I NEEDED to loose weight. Plus, I was tired of the fat jokes, and the dirty looks. Walking in the hall, wondering what people were saying about me. I decided that I NEEDED to change things for myself. Nobody else was going to do it for me. No longer was I going to be the Dog that possessed the energy to yelp because of the nail he was laying on, and not the energy to get up...I no longer wanted things that hurt, but not bad enough to do anything about it....
So I changed.
I left my junior year of high school at 5'11" and 317 lbs....
I Needed to change:
I started running, Morning, at lunch, and after summer football practice.
I started researching the correct foods to eat.
I started reading books about fitness and reading sites about health
I started loosing weight.
I realized my need, and became obsessed with it.
I returned 3 months later to my high school, at 6'1", 215 lbs....Far from the risk of diabetes, and no longer Obese. My life changed in 3 months...I call it the 90 day miracle...
Anything is possible in 90 days....
To your success.

End of March
Yet another month comes to an end. Great time to take 30 minutes out of your day and reflect about what you have accomplished this last month. 5 years ago, I took a leadership seminar about lifestyle design. I was only 22, so I really didn't understand all that the presenter was trying to tell me. However, Now I totally comprehend everything.
Have you ever felt like you are doing everything that you can to get by? In his Lecture, Dennis Wong differentiated between two different types of living: Those that are living their life in survival mode, and those that were living their life in discovery mode.
I didn't understand it at the time, however, I was recently confronted with this when I started working at my last job. To feel like I was at my job and "barely" scraping by was a horrible feeling. Somehow it made the days seem longer, and the months almost too much. I have never put all of my eggs in one basket, but with that position I did. Had to learn the hard way I guess. Jim Rohn Summed it up the best by saying "Too much month at the end of the money". I found myself having to take advances and borrowing from different credit cards to make things work. And at the end of the month, I would feel like I did what I had to do to survive. And that I had passed another month to wait a day or two for the next month to come by. The cycle starts again. New stimulants and situations become magnified and everything seems like it is almost too much for you to handle. That's when you find yourself wishing for things. The lotto winnings, some massive inheritance, marrying into money, or that next million dollar idea to suddenly make you money.
On the other hand:
Those that live in discovery mode are those that take chances and risks. Those that have the ability to push themselves to have multiple channels of income, Or something residual, or someone to outsource to. They discover new things. Furthermore, When you "seek to understand before being understood" as Socrates would say. Your mind is more open and willing to accept new things. New stimulants create new Synapses in your brain, and ultimately, you can lead yourself to an entirely new life.
Can you imagine, that instead of seeing all that you had to do or face in your life, and getting that knot in your stomach.....Being able to look at the same wonderful chaos, and be willing to take it on, and get it done? With no fear, only certainty? In discovery mode, you understand that you are going to experience changes, and trials, and failures, yet you persevere.
You learn to get from the day instead of getting through the day.
You learn how to allocate funds properly, instead of throwing money to put fires out.
You learn how to interpret new challenges and situations as things that will make you become more instead of things that you "have to deal with, but don't want to."
Ultimately, you learn how to grow thorough things, instead of trying to preserve what little you have.
So, let life touch you. Be thankful for the challenges that you are facing, and those that you have overcome. Be in discovery mode, anxious to find new things. Anxious to have new experiences.
And always remember......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift......That's why they call it the present.
To your success,
JC

The Contrarian Code
At long last, there is finally a guide that will help you maintain the type of lifestlye that you wish you had. Funny thing that it is so simple to alter your life's course. It can be done almost instantly.
The title of this post is a book that is in the works. This book is a guide on how to create the thigns that you want in your life. However, it is not a "get rich quick", or a 6 steps to easy whatever. This book is a hands on, fundamental guide that breaks thins down for you and teaches you how not to get caught up in the daily rat race and rigmarole of all of the stimuli that exist in your world.
Learn how to dull a negative stimulus almost out of existence. Learn how to increase a positive stiumulus almost instantly. This will lead you to change the things that you focus on, and ultimately create new behaviors and habits. And learn from someone that has had to teach them self how to do this. There is no theory here, just a practical guide to what has helped me. Look for the e-book....The Contrarian code... Coming soon to Kindles and Amazon.
On the daily, it is snowing in reno, and have moved into a new place. Timothy Ferris was right, when he stated that you must "Totally Unplug and Reset" in order to start the new life that you want.
Was listening to a Les Brown lecture the other day, and he said something really powerful. "This god said that "If you do not change, than you cannot grow; If you cannot grow, then you cannot do your best, and if you cannot do your best, then you cannot be happy. And if you cannot be Happy.....Then what else is there?"
Great question.
Here is to a life of freedom, Joy, Health, Wealth and Happiness.

Truy inspired, manage the coincidences
Wayne Dyer always seems to calm me down every time that I listen to one of his programs. There is something in his voice, his wisdom, his delivery that just massages your soul.
He mentioned something in his talk today, about being truly inspired in your actions. All you have to do then is manage your coincidences...
Ironically, John C. Maxwell also shows that the toughest part of leadership is making decisions, that analysis equals paralysis, and that the only way to truly get things going is to make a decision and then manage it. Once the decision is made, then all you have to do is manage them.
Tony Robbins teaches that the only way that we can truly have power in our life is through the decisions that we make.
So with all of this being said, I have concluded that the only thing in this world that determines your direction is you. You and your decisions are going to either get you to where you want to go, and it is up to you to take responsibility for everything that is going on. You don't like the type of life you lead, then you have the power to change in an instant inside of you. Look at the things that you are focusing on. one simple question can change anyone's focus. I was in a position that everyone else thought was good for me, I didn't it, it came to an end, and suddenly everyone is worried about what I am going to do.
I could have seen this circumstance as a loss, but I chose to see it an an opportunity. Now I can truly; do, be, and have whatever I want. The only thing that is stopping me is myself.
Remove yourself as your own block. The most important conversations that you have are the ones that you have with yourself. Ever thought of doing something and then convinced yourself why you couldn't do it? Those conversations are life killers. Causes an echo of self doubt, mixed with fears of failures...and leads to paralyzation. If you are good at sales, then you sell yourself on why you aren't doing something.
Stop it. The day that you can answer the following question with a "yes" you will be able to sleep sound as a pound... Have I done all that I feel that I could today to the best of my ability? have I given it my all? Do I have the tools to do what I want to do? If not can I get them?
Ultimately, Dr. Bandura shows that the 2 questions that leaders ask are:
1- Can I do this? Yes
2- What is in it for me!
SO answer those questions. Become Obsessively inspired. And manage your coincidences. It will be amazing what happens.
Best of luck with the changes to come.
To your growth!

Las Vegas, - 110 , Joe Campbell - 0
So, this weekend turned out to be one of the most exciting, extraterrestrial weekends of my life. Staying at Encore, with my closest friends made it even better. We had people fly in from NYC, Denver, and Reno. All collaborating on a weekend of greatness and fun.
I can't honestly remember having more fun. Seeing some of the things that we saw, and living like a rockstar for 30 minutes made things so awesome.
If you ever get a chance to go to the Bellagio, do it. Had to be the classiest place that we went to in las Vegas. So many sights and so many little details made that hotel make me feel like a billion dollars. So many crazy things, and all of the beautiful sites. To walk outside, and see the water show, hear the music and watch everything come together as if God himself was running the show just for you.
Once and a while we all need to let go. Don't stray too far from you garden and give time for the weeds to take over, but definitely slow down and smell the roses. I guarantee you the next time that you do it, Things will smell better, feel better, and Be better after you have stolen away enough of your day from yourself...
Live with passion, because there is no other way to live it. In the Beach, Leo Dicaprio was right, if you find yourself hurting in the morning, it was probably worth it. with a headache, and all of your friends smiling at you, then it was all worth it!
Can honestly say, that the stories from this weekend will leave lasting impressions on the minds and hearts of the people that were involved. I have never laughed, lived, drank, and loved the time with my friends more than I did this weekend.
Shout outs to the following:
1- Zach Chadhim, for his knewly discovered momosa drinking with no hands
2- Daniel Hernandez for giving the Initials D H a whole new meaning
3- The Tehrorinator for the mirrions of laughs and for using my camera in ways that I never thought about using it.
4- Mike Richardson for being Mike Richardson
5- Jonas and Nikki for the fun times and heart to hearts, and finding my iPod
6- The lady on the strip that said DOWLARR weird
7- All of the cocktail waitresses at the Encore
8- Darren Maguire for the hookups at Tryst, the lovely couch, trip to Island Sushi, and the movies
9- P.K. for being O.K. spelled wrong on the computer
10- the Fashion show mall for the lovely foodcourt food.
11- Jade and Jayme for being the two landmarks that stood out in the dark clubs so I could find everyone.
12- The Citi Center and the Ogre for both making me feel so small
13- and to God for letting me get through this weekend without without Dieing...
Peace and Passion....

Like to make a toast
Yesterday was my first Toastmasters meeting. I haven't spoken in front of a crowd in about a month, so it was refreshing to step out of my comfort zone with a topic that I knew nothing about.
"the center for Irish Fun" - Yeah, had no idea what to talk about or where to start. I think the last time that I wrote and essay, I was talking about a book that I may or may not have read. Made it a lot easier to speak about. But it was good practice to have no idea or preparation about the topic. I can see why people would join Toastmasters.
Funny thing happened afterward, a younger, beautiful, woman came up to me afterward. The conversation was positive and very exciting. My new found freedom, and her drive for her own business seemed like a symbiotic setup. Was enlightening.
She asked me that question of : "What are you going to do now?" My face lit up. Something clicked in my head, and all I could hear was myself asking my-self' "What would you do if money didn't matter? Where would you go? What would you want to feel?" It was like God had pulled back the curtain, and the clouds had removed themselves from the sun, and as soon as I started to think about what I wanted to do. Everything seemed to light up! Was great.
Like Wayne Dyer says : "When you are truly inspired to do something, and you follow that path, then all you have to do is manage the coincidences that occur in your life" SO true.
Make it a great day!

FREEEEEDOM!!!
I wish you all a great day!
One full of happiness, joy, and lightheartedness....
The title should say it all. Last week, the company that I was working for and I came to a crossroads. I can tell you that I have never worked in a place where I did not want to be so bad. It was not the company, it was me. I knew deep down that I would not be happy with myself there. The culture was amazing, the projects were pretty darn cool, and the pay was great!
However, I did not resonate there. Which brings me to a question...At what point are you willing to sign up for things that you would not want to do, instead of what it was that you felt like you were meant to do? It seems that the extrinsic motivators that are out there seem to leading some people's lives. However, studies will show that the temporary incentives do not create lasting change.
This feeling of freedom is amazing.....The million dollar question on everyone's mind is...What are you going to do?
The great thing is, that instead of feeling like things are hopeless, and that I have no other options...I feel excited about what is in front of me. For the first time in a long time there is a feeling of controlling my own destiny now.
Carpe Diem, Get from the day instead of getting through the day, take MASSIVE AMOUNTS of action towards your goal..
To your success...

Life is too short
It has benn a while since my last post.
Things hace become more challenging than ever before. I find myself waking up not wanting to face the things that I know that I must. However, today, I had a breakthrough...
My good book states that there are three things in life that last forever. Faith, Hope, and Love. These recent tests have stripped me of my Hope and my faith in all that I have done.
There has been something that has set me apart from the typical person. People wonder what makes me tick. What makes me put up with so many little annoyances that most people become easily fed up with.
There is a burning desire in my heart to succeed. Something that has seemed to never be extinguished. No matter what. There is something that tells me that I will be ok. I thrive on people telling me that I cannot accomplish something.
The best revenge that you can ever experience is massive success in the area that they challenged you in the first place. Who is anyone else to tell you that you can or cannot accomplish anything?
The only person that can decide whether or not things will happen in your life is you. There has to be something that makes you burn. One thought, or one expereince, or one memeory, or one goal, one time where you found yourself at a wall that you felt that you couldn't do anymore. Like suddenly everything was coming to a hault for you. Like there was no more hope, no more faith, no more....
Yet there is love that is in your heart. Your love and passion for those things that light you up inside. The smallest spark is all that you need to get going. That chill that goes down the back of your neck when you know that the test is on the way. Call it inspiration, call it excitement, but it is yours and yours alone. nobody can take it from you.
So live a bold life. One that fears regret more than you feel failure. Failure is meant to be and is inevitable. Regret is self orchestrated, self imposed, and comes as a result of you deciding that you can't do something. Choose the Bold life. Choose to face the failures. Choose to test your limits. Choose to take yourself to that edge, Look at it, Get choked up thinking about how far the fall might be, or how dangerous it would be if you jumped. Then close your eyes, and with everything that you are, understand that you are about to come more by jumping. And then Jump.
Confucious was praised for enlightening the chinese people to do what they felt like they ewere meant to do. That everyone pursuing their individual purpose is what made the whole. So let everything else be figured out. Just focus on you, and it all works out.
Jump,Live, and Love.
